Detailed travel plan for 6 days Kenya wildlife safari

Day 1: Depart from Nairobi to Sweet waters Game sanctuary

On this first day of the safari, you will be welcomed by the company representative who will brief you about the safari and after drive through the lush Kikuyu farm lands and coffee plantations and reach the Sweet waters tented camp during lunch time. After your delicious lunch, prepare for an afternoon game drive within the sanctuary. Formerly known as Ol Pejeta Ranch, Sweet waters Game Sanctuary was a cattle ranch for breeding of beef cattle before it became a sanctuary for black rhinos which were brought from other sanctuaries. While at the sanctuary, enjoy the presence of over 40 black rhinos for your afternoon hours and after return to the camp for your evening time, dinner and night stay.

Day 2: Drive to Aberdare national park                        

Wake up for your delicious breakfast at the camp and proceed to Aberdare national park in central Kenya. With an area of 766 square kilometers, the national park is part of the Aberdare Mountains. It is characterized by several landscapes from mountain peaks, and the v-shaped valleys that are intersected by rivers, streams and waterfalls. Reach the park at lunch hours and have it at Aberdare Country Club and then go for a game drive in the park plains where you will spot various wildlife species like waterbucks, hartebeests, lions, herds of elephants and many others. From game viewing exercise, drive back to the club for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park

Have your breakfast and check out of the club and then embark on your journey to Lake Nakuru national park where you will reach in the afternoon hours. Check in at the lodge for lunch and go for an afternoon game drive that takes you along the shallow lake shores that is famous for attracting numerous birdlife especially the flamingos that make it turn to pink. In the game drive, you will also spot various animals and after drive back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight

Day 4: Drive to Masai Mara national park

After your breakfast, depart from the lodge and to Masai Mara national reserve through the floor of the Rift Valley. The journey takes about 6 hours and thus reaches the park in lunch hours. After, drive to the national reserve plains for game viewing experience where you will spot several animals like lions, elephants, wildebeests, hartebeests, and many others. From the game drive, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 5: Full day game drive

Wake up in the early morning to catch the morning breeze and sunrise as you embark to the reserve plains for a game viewing exercise. Masai Mara national reserve is known for hosting the great migration of animals and Serengeti national park of Tanzania. A million of prey and predators gather in the plains of the reserve as they are running for survival. In the full day game drive, you will move with your packed lunch which you will have around Mara River in front of the Nile crocodiles. Other animals to spot during the activity include the lions, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, elands and many others.

Day 6: Drive back to Nairobi

After your breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive back to Nairobi for your departure flight at Jomo Kenyatta International airport.
